About the program

The program aims to fill in the gap of education for around 200 underprivileged children aged from 4 to 11 years old. You are expected to help with our staff and local teachers to teach English, music, games and sports to the children. The teaching programs focus on helping the children to pronounce English correctly, building their vocabularies and confidence in conversing English with foreigners. The music, games and sports session will be in the middle of the English lessons so the children have to use their English for their participants.

Before the teaching, our staff and local teachers will meet with you to plan the lessons and activities. Our staff will be available in the classrooms to help you with the teaching and give you language translation when needed.

As there is combination of education and social work programs, every week you will be helping with this program for around 15 hours for the rest of your time you will be helping in the social work program.

About the project

We operate to support the underprivileged people in Vietnam. We do this by placing volunteers to help at the orphanages, social support centers and disadvantaged schools.

Meet your organization

Our history: we was founded in 2004 by Mr Viet Dang. Viet is a Vietnamese person and has a passion helping others in need. He worked as a volunteer English teacher at many disadvantaged schools in central Vietnam. During that time, he had the chance to work together with many international volunteers who came and supported Vietnam. He was extremely impressed by their passion in helping others in need too. With his understanding about Vietnam, in July 2004 Viet decided to set up Volunteer Vietnam organization that offers quality volunteer programs to international volunteers which the volunteers can contribute the most to Vietnam and has the most rewarding volunteer experience oversea.

Our mission: we operate to support the underprivileged people in Vietnam and we do this by connecting volunteers with local communities in needs : orphanages, social support centers and disadvantaged schools.

Values:  Our volunteer programs are well-structured and organized by a dedicated staff team which gives volunteers a rewarding volunteer experience. Volunteers have chance to live in a comfortable volunteer house ( called Green House) where you will meet with many other volunteers and share your experience and make friends for life.

Goals: As we operate to help many disadvantaged people in Vietnam, our goal to get as many volunteers as possible to provide daily aids in education, healthcare and well-being for the disadvantaged people.
