Typical day
Although the children may arrive at the premises very early, activities don’t start until after breakfast, which is at around 8am. You’ll work from Monday to Thursday from 8am to 1pm, but if you wish to spend your afternoons organising further activities for the children then that is encouraged. ..

Details on arrival
When arriving in Accra, you will be picked up directly at the airport by one of our RGV team members. We bring you to your accommodation, where you’ve got time to look around and settle in. Your onward journey to the final project location is done according to the introduction arrangements.
Before your project starts in Ghana, our team will prepare you for your work. During the RGV introduction, you will mostly be accommodated in the RGV shared volunteer house. The introduction usually takes place over two mornings. You will receive information about your future tasks and activities in the project, and the customs of your host country, so that you can settle in well.
The activities and topics covered include things to do in your spare time, a tour of the area, tips on withdrawing money, where you can buy a Ghanaian SIM card, the history and culture of Ghana as well as the rules of conduct.
