Highlights
- Dive to collect data on reefs and species to contribute to ongoing health assessments.
- Record sightings of species for the ray database. From March to June, assist with oceanic manta ray monitoring.
- Assist with crown-of-thorns starfish population monitoring and data for local authorities; removals may be done when numbers are high.
- Host sessions on environmental issues, sustainable fishing, and economic benefits of marine protected areas for community members.
- Various ongoing community and entrepreneurial activities including cleanups, English lessons, public health and skills development workshops.

Typical day
- 7:00 AM: Breakfast is served.
- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Depending on the weather and the advice of the local dive guides, the first survey dive usually starts at 9:00 AM. You will partake in 2 survey dives and then relay the data from your dive slates on to the data recording sheets for entry into the ...
Free-time activities
You will have the evening off after dinner every day. Additionally, Wednesday mornings are allocated to travelling to Waisai for any shopping you may want to do. Saturdays are for fun dives and Sundays are a complete no-dive day where you will have the day to relax and assist with cooking or ...
