The Carnaval project enables volunteers to join the preparations and embrace the hard work involved in getting ready for one of biggest parties on earth!

Typical day
8:30-9:30AM - Breakfast
10:00 - Arrival at project
12:00 - Lunch
13:00 - Return from lunch break
16:00 - Leave to go back to our accommodation
Free-time activities
Volunteers can enjoy a wide range of activities in the city or even a few hours away. Usually volunteers go on trips together to famous places like Ilha Grande, Petrópolis, Paraty, Búzios and Trindade.

This program is available every first and third Monday from November to January. In December and during the Carnaval festival month, 3 weeks is the minimum period required, due to the festive seasons.
Also be aware that there is a surcharge during these two periods. We will increase a one-off surcharge to cover the increase in the cost of accommodation and living Brazil during these seasons.
