About Us

We Volunteer Nepal are established to link international volunteers with Nepali people in an attempt to enrich and improve the lives of Nepali people and provide a new and memorable adventure for volunteers. Our mission is to create and develop a range of dynamic opportunities that would best benefit each volunteer as well as addressing the needs of Nepalese communities. And to empower marginalized communities through enhanced education, health and income generation under women empowerment, children development, youth empowerment and public health programs with special focus on women and children by conducting training and research, developing basic infrastructure, mobilizing skilled local and international volunteer to promote equality, economic well being and basic human right.

About the Program

Volunteering in an orphanage home is one of the best programs in Nepal. Volunteers will work to give orphaned children and infants healthy,secure and constructive lives. Poverty has seriously affected the people of Nepal, and their ability to provide for their children. Thousands of people die from poverty, leaving behind many orphaned children. The situation is even worse in rural villages.Volunteers will be live at the orphanage or live with Nepali host families during the duration of their program.Our host families are extremely gracious and kind.The family provides a friendly place to stay and delicious food. Staying with a host family is a wonderful way to learn about local Nepali culture and lifestyles.

Volunteer Opportunities 

Volunteers will be work to better the lives of the children by taking care of their needs.There are no specific requirements for the program. However, helpful qualities are patience, a sense of humor, and a genuine desire to teach and help the children. Volunteers may be required to help in other ways besides simply working with the children. For example, volunteers can help with medical visits, cleaning, reading, gardening, helping the house mother clean and cook, doing repairs, mending clothing, and planning activities for after the children return from school. In addition to being very rewarding, these placements can be physically and emotionally demanding. The volunteer’s role is at the orphanage is to be a big brother or sister to the children . Volunteers can bring along teaching materials such as picture books, instruments, flash cards, arts supplies and songs. It is also useful to have sweets or chocolates to reward the children when they do well in class.

You ride on an elephant’s back or on a four wheeler jeep accompanied by a fully trained guide (naturalist) to view the nature and animals. From a tourist point of view, Chitwan and Bardia are the most popular National park for wildlife safari in Nepal. Himalayan heritages and as well as experienced of some wild animals breathtaking on widest pass Thorong la 5416m. Transportation form KTM airport to welcome dinner. Detailed in country orientation program, including basic language and cultural immersion. local project transport where necessary. 3 major sight to visit in Kathmandu such as world heritage sight Accomodation and main meals during training period and placements. Jungle safari in chitwan national park only accommodation during visit safari program. 24/7 emergency support, local phone, program administration and contribution to the project costs.

Airport Pickup at Tribhuvan International Airport

We provide airport pick up and drop by car and from airport we drop to the volunteer house our airport representative always at the airport welcome to the our volunteers . Also we provide transportation to the placement pick up/drop off.

Accommodation

We Volunteer Nepal manage your entire Accommodation A simple room with a bed. We advice you to bring sleeping bag and mosquito net with you or you can always buy here which is 2-3 times cheaper than back home.

Food & Beverages

Three organic veggie meals a day and any time fresh local fruit. Breakfast occurs at 7:30 am and consists of a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits. Lunch is 11:30 am and usually dall/bhat (rice, lentils and vegetables), dinner is at around 7 pm and is once more dall/bhat. The food is very simple but also extremely delicious and filling.
