About the program

Our volunteer program focuses on providing children from vulnerable backgrounds with new opportunities and support. In these care centers you will find children from poor families without access to education, orphaned children and youth, and children of workers in the carpet industry. Some five hundred children are cared for, in a variety of areas, from kindergarten to seventh grade. The care centers in Nepal exist thanks to donations received from charities and private donors that allow them to purchase basic necessities such as rent, food and clothing; although these care centers still face an ongoing struggle. Ask about doing the 4 weeks in 2 weeks intensive mornings with double the number of hours.

These care centers focus on providing sustainable educational support and care to vulnerable children and youth from all over Nepal, so that they can improve their emotional and cognitive development and gain better opportunities in life. Therefore, the main tasks of the volunteers will be to support educational and recreational activities with the children, such as art, songs, dances or didactic games. Volunteers are also expected to collaborate with local staff in developing new ideas and activities that can help children and youth improve their learning. The work of volunteers is invaluable, as any support provided can significantly help build and improve the self-esteem of the children and youth in the centers. Some other activities that volunteers can perform in these centers are:

  • Creating and participating in educational and sports games for children.
  • Spending time with the children, sharing stories and making them feel welcome.
  • Teaching basic English, if the volunteer knows it.
  • Helping in the kitchen and assisting with nutritional plans.
  • Helping to clean the orphanage
  • Helping in some activities related to hygiene: cutting hair or nails, washing clothes and sheets, etc.

As well as other activities that the project may require at any specific time.

Meet your organization

ADVENTURE VOLUNTEER is a non-profit organization, established in 2017. We collaborate in the social and environmental field through projects of conservation and protection of the environment and animals, as well as in the social part through projects of empowerment of women, community development, functional diversity, medical or teaching.

Our team of collaborators has a deep experience in international volunteer programs.  We know all the realities of the areas where we are working, collaborating and where we have a presence.

Our projects offer volunteers the opportunity to meet, share and participate in social and environmental projects. These projects demand educational and recreational activities that benefit communities of different cultures and customs, communities with economic difficulties and different degrees of social exclusion.
