This is an in-country shadowing program with provided shared housing and local team support.

This program is important as it offers pre-dental & graduate students the opportunity to gain top quality experience interning in the medical field. Interns will get to see the health care differences between countries, get to see all medical specialties that a hospital can offer and decide on their future career path., With valuable experience, you’ll develop your skills and understanding of different medical professions.

Interns will have the opportunity to observe dental procedures side-by-side dentists, nurses and other staff and participate in the daily routine, across various departments and specialties. The shadowing program is designed to rotate through all major dental specialties and can be customized according to the intern’s area of dentistry interest. The dental team is mostly trained or worked abroad in the UK or USA, eliminating any language barriers and offering international expertise.

Dental Public Health, Endodontics, Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Radiology

Dagelijkse activiteiten

At the start of each week a shadowing schedule is drafted between you and the coordinating doctor to rotate through all major departments.

Your day will begin at 9am following your shadowing schedule and see clinics, surgeries and diagnostics with the medical staff explaining everything in English. ..

At the start of each week a shadowing schedule is drafted between you and the coordinating doctor to rotate through all major departments.

Your day will begin at 9am following your shadowing schedule and see clinics, surgeries and diagnostics with the medical staff explaining everything in English. Expect to end your shadowing each day at around 4-5pm depending on surgery duration and clinic rotations.

Minimum leeftijd: 18 jaar

Om deel te nemen aan het programma dien je tenminste 18 jaar oud te zijn op de startdatum van het programma. Er kunnen uitzonderingen gemaakt worden indien je een bewijs van toestemming kan aantonen van uw wettelijke voogd(en) of samen met je ouders deelneemt.

We will review your application and if we accept you on this internship we will ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your place. The remaining of your internship fees (less your initial deposit payment) will be due no less than 30 days before your internship start date.

Prior to your arrival you will also be asked to pay a $400 security deposit to cover potential damages, to the apartments and host sites, which is fully refunded after check-out within 30 days if everything is in order.

The program fee includes a free airport pickup on the Sunday before the Monday start date. To qualify for the free pickup interns are required to arrive between 9am-6pm.At the airport interns will be welcomed and transferred to their housing. For interns arriving at an earlier date, a pickup maybe provided if requested and subject to availability.


Accomodatie

The accommodation is fully furnished (single or double beds), with WiFi, shared with 1-6 other same-sex interns, and located in safe areas with easy access to public transport and close to the hospital. The last night of the accommodation is the Friday night of the final week, leaving interns free to depart on Saturday. Extra nights of accommodation or private apartments can be arranged in advance, if requested and subject to availability.
