Every week volunteers have Saturday and Sunday off to be able to relax and explore Costa Rica, participate in activities or simply lay back and relax at the rescue center. The staff can help you organize places to visit/activities to do.

Detalles a la llegada
- Private transportation in a van (6h) directly to the rescue center. The cost is $300.00, with an additional $20.00 per person. Let us know if you'd like for us to arrange this for you.
- Fly from San Jose to Golfito ($160.00, 1h) and then take a taxi or bus (1.5h) to San Vito. We will have a private driver pick you up and take you to the rescue center (20min).
- Take a bus from San Jose to San Vito (6h). Then take a taxi from San Vito to the rescue center in Sabalito (20min).
WHAT TO BRING:
- Sun screen (keep in mind we are very close to the equator. The sun can be very intense)
- Swim suit
- Hoody/sweater for cool mornings
- Comfortable clothes for hot weather
- Walking shoes and/or work boots
- Water sandals/river shoes (There is a river running through the property year round for river hikes)
- Rubber boots
- Binoculars
- Rain jacket/poncho/umbrella
- Hat/visor
- Toiletries (These of course can be purchased in Costa Rica as well)
