The program is separated in a teaching (through dance) part and an after school dance class. The classes are often very large (> 40 pupils). Many students don't get the attention and support which are necessary. Initially, the volunteers support the teachers with their work. After some time to get used to everything, own school lessons can be designed. In general, the subjects English, Mathematics and General Natural Sciences are taught by the volunteers. However, exact details can be discussed with those responsible. Through the support of the volunteers, the teacher are relieved and the pupils get more attention. In addition, the volunteers should help to identify gifted children so that You4Ghana can support them financially if necessary.
On some afternoons during the week, Percy gives dancing lessons to his students and anyone else interested. They rehearse dancing choreographies which are presented at several events. Join the group and feel free to create your own choreography.
It is up to you to decide whether you want to join Percy during his
classes or later for the dancing lessons or both. If you don't like
teaching you can combine the dancing lessons with any other of our
projects free of charge. It is also possible to only do the dancing
party and taking the rest of the day off. Talk to us so we can find a
schedule that suits you!

*The Dance Project with Students*
Dancing with students build teacher pupil relationship, confidence, self esteem, self capability and reduce truancies in school. We don’t only work on dance with students but all talents. I use dance as a method of teaching Mathematics, English etc. It is hard to explain in a few sentences but you can check out YouTube or Instagram to get a better insight into my methods. G.D.T (Generate Dance with Treasure) Academy is a way to dance and stay fit for people of all ages, shapes and sizes. Note that dance can improve your muscle tone, strength, build strong relationship, endurance, fitness and serve as employment. Dancing is a great way to meet new friends. The dance academy fees is used as donations. Our doors are open for everyone to join us. The fee is used to support the poor children in our community.
